Review: Providence Art Club’s Big Pictures Show has some gems, but quality falls off

Sandra DeSano Pezzullo’s evocative “The Great Spirit,” with its dark island of scruffy pines and luminous sunset. You don’t need sunglasses to take in this magical scene that makes its point with just an accent or two, like the smears of gray-blue and orange on the lake that seem squeezed right from the tube.
